Sundays

Precept Upon Precept - Ecclesiastes
leader: Melinda Lopez
sundays, 4:00pm
Room E108
Dates: August 18 & 25, September 8 & 22

Ecclesiastes explores the meaning of life under the sun and its relationship to eternity and God. Life on earth is short. Everyone should study Ecclesiastes and carefully consider how God refers to life today.

Precept Upon Precept: Job
Leader: Melinda Lopez
Sundays, 4:00pm
Room E108
Start Date: September 29

Job asks big questions about pain, suffering, and God’s sovereignty—and it shows us God is with us through everything.

Holiness by J.C. Ryle - Part 1
Leader: Judy Chiles
Sunday, 5:00pm (On Campus)
Start Date: September 8

Although written in 1877, the spelling, language, grammar and punctuation have been gently updated.  This is perhaps his best-known and best-loved book.  In his own words, "real, practical holiness does not receive the attention it deserves."  There is no easy way to holiness for us and no perfect steps to follow by which it can be attained, but Ryle will undoubtedly produce that hunger and thirst after righteousness that we all need.  It's rich theology and Ryle's passion on this subject will lead us to a humbling conviction of our own pursuit of holiness, which the Scriptures command us to diligently pursue.

He’s Where The Joy Is by Tara Leigh Cobble
Leader: Tonya Tishaw
Sundays, 5:00pm (in home)
Start Date: September 22

It's hard to know a God we don't understand, and it's hard to love a God we don't know.  But our God wants to be known and loved, and He’s told us a lot about Himself in the pages of His Word.
Join Tara-Leigh Cobble in this 7-session study as she breaks down the intimidating doctrine of the Trinity. You'll discover a beautiful, foundational view of our Triune God that will transform how you relate to Him. Understanding God's three-in-oneness and each of the Persons of God individually—Father, Son, and Spirit—will lead you to deeper intimacy with God and greater joy in knowing Him!

MONDAYs

Luke in the Land
Leader: beth Ray
mondays, 6:00pm (on campus)
Dates: August 19 - October 7
(will not meet on Labor day)

Follow Kristi McLelland through Israel as we study snapshots from the Gospel of Luke to see where the stories of the Bible took place. Over 7 sessions, challenge the way you read the accounts of Jesus through teaching videos that take you to locations in Israel like Bethlehem, the Sea of Galilee, Gethsemane, Jerusalem, and the road to Emmaus. Along the way, you'll see how Jesus, the Messiah, brought His kingdom to earth for everybody.

Advent (The Weary World Rejoices)
Leader: Beth Ray
monday, 6:00pm (On Campus)
Start Date: October 28

Experience the Christmas season anew this year with this 5-session study on Advent, why we celebrate it, and how it fuels our worship of Jesus. Understand the anticipation and waiting the Old Testament world endured. And experience the joy of new life signaled by the coming of Christ, and the way Advent points to the glory of God still to come. First released in 2019, this study is expanded with tools for Scripture memory to help you savor this Advent season.

TUESDAYs

Luke in the Land
Leader: Sylvia Green
Tuesdays, 9:30am (on campus)
Start Date: August 27

In our Bibles, we have four Gospels describing Jesus’s time on earth: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The land of Israel—the place Jesus walked and taught during His earthly ministry—is often referred to as the “fifth Gospel.” Follow Kristi McLelland through Israel as we study snapshots from the Gospel of Luke to see where the stories of the Bible took place. Over 7 sessions in this Bible study workbook, challenge the way you read the accounts of Jesus through teaching videos that take you to locations in Israel like Bethlehem, the Sea of Galilee, Gethsemane, Jerusalem, and the road to Emmaus. Along the way, you'll see how Jesus, the Messiah, brought His kingdom to earth for everybody.

Precept: 1 Corinthians
Leader: Tracy Caldwell
Tuesdays, 9:30am (On Campus)
In Person & Zoom Options
Start Date: September 3

Why are there so many divisions in the church? Why does the church sometimes tolerate sin? Are you experiencing any of the same problems that the Corinthians did in your own relationships or in your church? If you have similar questions, this study is an important resource.

Luke in the Land
Leader: Glenda Wolfe
Tuesdays, 10:00am (On Campus)
Start Date: September 10

Sermon On The Mount by Jen Wilkin
Leader: Lisa Latham
Tuesdays, 6:30pm (In Home)
Start Date: September 3

In His sweeping depiction of kingdom citizenship, Jesus utters some of the most familiar passages in all of Scripture. Most of us have only encountered the Sermon on the Mount in fragments, considering its subdivisions as complete teachings in their own right—a study on blessedness; a reflection on the Lord’s Prayer; a discussion of religious devotion, money, ambition, and relationships.

What if we navigated these three chapters in Matthew as they were originally heard? What if we read them as one cohesive, well-ordered message, intended to challenge us to think differently about what it means to be a follower of Jesus?

THURSDAYs

The Women of Christmas by Liz Curtis Higgs
Led By Heather Skaggs
Thursdays, 6:15pm (On Campus)
Start Date: November 7

Experience the Season Afresh with Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna

A sacred season is about to unfold for three women whose hearts belong to God. Elizabeth is barren, yet her trust in God remains fertile. Mary is betrothed in marriage, yet she is willing to bear God’s Son. Anna is a widow full of years, yet she waits patiently, prayerfully for the Messiah to appear in the temple courts. Angelic encounters, miraculous conceptions, unexpected visitors, and outbursts of praise: experience the season afresh with Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna!

“Christmas is so much more than a holiday. So much more than buying and wrapping and cooking and eating and trimming with tinsel and mailing out cards. It’s a season for reflection, for preparation, for renewal. The perfect time to put aside our shopping lists and reach for our Bibles, where the story of the Christ child awaits us.”
