HUNTER STREET PRETEENS

This ministry is exclusively for those in grades 5 and 6. Ages 10-12 are critical in the life of a child as it pertains to developing self-identity. Preteens are building their self-identity around the one that is most present in their lives - be that smart phones, movies, music, locker rooms, friends, community, or you. These years are pivotal in the life of every child. During their brief two years in the preteen ministry, we come alongside parents, who are the primary voice in your child’s life, to help preteens develop a self-identity that is found in Christ alone. 

Preteens are at an age where they need to be challenged to live out and share their faith with confidence in knowing what they believe and why they believe it. The preteen years are exciting and demanding as children begin to develop their self-identity and chart their course down the road of life.

Our Preteen ministry revolves around Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.”
